Job Description:
Job Summary LifeSkills Unlimited supports individuals with
Intellectual Disabilities and related disorders in their homes or
apartments to maintain activities of daily living. To ensure
optimal health and safety, teach individuals to be as independent
as possible, and to maintain their homes to ensure a clean, and
safe environment. Pay starting at $17 per hour. FT and PT
available. Essential Job Responsibilities Teach and assist in daily
living skills, which may include personal hygiene, bathroom duties,
shaving, brushing teeth, bathing/showering, shampooing, and
dressing appropriately for the weather and activities. Support
individual’s ISP plan and daily activities, household chores, money
management, and out in community activities. Monitor for changes in
their health, appearance, and behavior Follow physician’s orders
regarding, medication and dietary needs. Complete documentation as
necessary, to meet LifeSkills, Federal, and State regulatory
requirements. Complete required, and ongoing training requirements
with LifeSkills and State required timeframes. Behavior should be
professional at all times. Treating everyone with respect and
dignity Report to work on time, ready to work assigned shift Active
listening Skills Ability to communicate with others Complete all
shift duties and any tasks assigned by management to fill the needs
of the Individuals that we serve. Additional Job Responsibilities
May transport in agency vehicles to and from work, errands, doctor
visits, recreational activities, and shopping Conducting required
fire and emergency drills Benefits Paid training Health, dental,
vision, and life insurance available Shifts available 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week. FT and PT Physical Requirements Agility to work
in a residential setting Must be physically able to perform CPR
and/or First Aid May exert force between 10 and 100lbs.ie assisting
with Bed to floor/wheelchair Floor/wheelchair to bed In and out of
shower/bath Into and out of vehicles Assisting in bathing and
showering Changing adult depends Housecleaning duties, e.g.,
laundry, vacuuming, cleaning showers, tubs, dishes, taking out
garbage Preparing meals Pushing/pulling e.g. wheelchairs Ability to
carry groceries from vehicle to house Balancing, stooping,
kneeling, standing, sitting, and walking Minimum Qualifications
Must have availability to work Saturday and Sunday High school
diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Must have a
valid Nevada Driver License or (Nevada ID work in SLA) Clean DMV
history, and insurable to drive agency vehicles Must have a
“Negative” pre-employment drug screen result Basic Math Skills
Read, write and understand English Clean Criminal Background
Additional Requirements Current CPR and First Aid Card (training
provided) Proof of unexpired auto insurance and registration
