OverviewDignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a
370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael
California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south

Replacement.Responsibilities This position reports to the Manager
of Rehab Services. Oversees the development implementation
evaluation continuous improvement and ongoing sustainability of the
facilitys safe patient handling and mobility program. This position
is responsible for planning implementing continuous improvement
coordinating services and activities associated with the facilitys
safe patient handling program. This position is responsible for
maintaining quality standards for responsive service and
professional documentation maintaining current and accurate
policies procedures and practices all in a manner which is
consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
Position Scope: T In addition the position is involved in multiple
interdepartmental activities and ensures the timely exchange of
information. In the course of usual and customary activity the
incumbent will establish and monitor performance criteria assure
compliance with safe patient handling regulatory requirements
establish effective performance plans staff education and direction
and resolve complex issues. Major Challenges: Coordinating and
monitoring assigned research activities related to Safe Patient
Handling. Support for the development and implementation of new
services and programs within and outside the community relating to
the Safe Patient Handling. This position is challenging in that it
requires sophisticated and future-oriented thinking planning and
development in order to support effective hospital services in a
manner that is consistent with the objectives of CommonSpirits
