Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leading global retailer renowned for its
expansive array of products and consumer services, is seeking a
skilled and innovative Backend Web UI Software Engineer to join our
IT team. This role focuses on developing and optimizing the backend
aspects of our web user interfaces, integral for offering seamless
shopping experiences to millions of customers worldwide. The
candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build
scalable, efficient systems that drive our business forward.
Design, develop, and maintain efficient backend solutions for web
applications. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate
user-facing elements with server-side logic. Build reusable code
and libraries for future use, ensuring the optimization of the
application for maximum speed and scalability. Implement security
and data protection measures. Manage hosting environments,
including database administration and scaling applications to
support load changes. Create data storage solutions and improve
existing database schemas that support business processes.
Participate in code reviews and enhance software lifecycle
management by utilizing best practices in continuous integration
and delivery. Proficiency in backend languages such as Java,
Python, Ruby or .NET Experience with server-side frameworks like
Node.js, Django or Flask Familiarity with database technology such
as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB Understanding of front-end
technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to communicate with
team members on the front-end) Ability to implement automated
testing platforms and unit tests Proficient understanding of code
versioning tools, such as Git Experience with cloud services like
AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
ScrumMaster (CSM) or relevant Agile certification AWS Certified
Developer or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) is
highly preferred Relevant database management certification
