Job DescriptionPrimary Function of Position:The Ion endoluminal system is Intuitive's robotic platform for minimally invasive biopsy in the peripheral lung, with an initial goal of improving the early diagnosis of lung cancer. The main responsibility of the position is to lead the design and development of software test automation capabilities for multiple Ion products.This position requires an individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with highly technical peers, and the capability to manage workload among multiple priorities. The main focus area of the position is on developing a reliable test automation framework to support the formal verification and validation of Ion software. The role will also include hands-on verification/validation, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and formal design control documentation.Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a test automation framework that meets the testing needs for complex medical device software.
• Influence and negotiate with software developers to convert manual testing to automated testing and expand test automation capabilities.
• Design and develop automated test methods and test protocols for functional software verification applied to Ion's System and PlanPoint products.
• Develop requirements/specifications for test automation tools.
• Validate test automation tools.
• Perform root cause analysis and facilitate timely resolution of issues, including escalation of issues to internal engineering groups as appropriate.
• Support formal Verification and Validation activities (perform test execution, write reports, verify JIRA tickets).
