Job Summary
Involves the provision of treatment designed to facilitate the
process of recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, or
physical limitations to as normal a condition as possible. Includes
the disciplines of vocational rehabilitation. Provides direct
vocational rehabilitative services to mentally ill adults who often
also suffer from substance abuse disorders, and/or physical
limitations. Works with clients to identify employment interests,
assess work skills, coach them through the application process,
work with employers to identify potential jobs for clients, and
support employees and employers to solve problems to help retain
employment.

ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit
agreement are very wide, however, a job offer will typically fall
in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer
will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate
AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a
similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement,
there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed

Department Description
Citywide Case Management Programs is a Division of the UCSF/ZSFG
Department of Psychiatry, located at 1263 Mission Street, San
Francisco. Its mission is to provide behavioral health intensive
case management services to adults who suffer from serious mental
illness, co-occurring substance abuse disorder, and chronic medical
conditions, and experience significant systemic determinants of
health, including justice-involvement or other forms of
institutionalization, poverty, and housing instability.
