  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced MedSurg/Tele Trauma nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

    • Active BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
    • Active CA License
    • Trauma experience strongly preferred
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts are available
      • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff
      • Block scheduling is generally not available
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: Trauma MedSurg/Tele 5 Central
        • Number of beds: 32
        • Patient to nurse ratios: 1:4 - Tele, 1:5 - MedSurg
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Weekends: Every Other Weekend
        • Scrub Color: Navy
        • Tele: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Trauma patients, trachs and chest tubes, drains, lifts, geriatric, Avery camera system in all rooms
          • Additional Details
          • Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete
          • For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years)
          • Prior to acceptance, the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA is required to be sent along with acceptance
