  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced Tele nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts
      • Shift starts at 6:45
      • Report is at the bedside
      • OT and extra shifts available
      • Self-scheduling is used, not finalized until Manager balances it
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home
      • Make available for extra shifts
      • Make trades with other staff
      • Block scheduling is generally not available
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of beds: 16 - 20 flex
        • Ratios: 1:4
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
        • Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
        • Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets optional, must be navy.
        • Able to read and interpret EKG strips
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.
        • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with a preceptor.
          • Additional Details
          • Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years)
          • Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling
          • Modules required before start of assignment, taking approximately 3-4 hours (non-billable)
          • Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through Relias is required to be sent along with acceptance, within 24-48 hrs, with two attempts allowed
