  • A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced Cardiac Telemetry nurses for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.

      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 12 hr shifts.
      • Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside.
      • OT and extra shifts are available.
      • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks.
      • Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff.
      • Block scheduling is generally not available.
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black.
        • Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
        • Ratios: 1:4
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist
        • IV Team: No
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.
        • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac dx, post CABG, post AVR/MVR, pre and post cardiac cath intervention. No sheath pulling.
        • Additional Notes: Core staff pulls sheaths. Will allow travelers after skill validation.

          • Modules are required to be done before start of assignment.
          • Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
          • Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years).
          • Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.
          • Med Sol prescreens, offer off clinical prescreens, manager has 24 hours to rescind the offer, if necessary.
