• Certification Details
• Must posses current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
• Completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA required before acceptance
  • Job Details
  • 16 week contract to work in a dynamic Russell ICU (RICU) unit
  • May include patients with ARDS, Sepsis, Chronic vent, ETOH withdrawal, DKA, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, IABP among other conditions
  • Common procedures: Line placements and intubations
  • Charge Nurse or Nurse Shift Manager present; may not take patients
  • ICU Pharmacy open during day shift
    • Job Requirements
    • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications needed
    • 2 supervisor references needed at submittal; 1 within past 12 months and 1 within past 3 years
    • Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA is required prior to acceptance
    • Must be able to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)
    • CRRT experience preferred
    • Able to titrate vasoactive medications, sedation medications, heparin, insulin
    • Experience in reading and interpreting EKG strips
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts with rotation
      • Shift times are 645-1915 or 1845-0715
      • Self-scheduling available but subject to Manager's approval
      • Schedules are out 4 weeks in advance
      • Every other weekend required
      • OT and extra shifts available
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Possible float to CSICU; Cardiac skill preferred, but not mandatory
        • Ratio of Nurse:Patient is 1:1-2 in the RICU
        • Nurse Aids available as Safety Attendants for primary nursing care
        • Both Hospitalist and Intensivist available in-house 24/7
        • Respiratory Therapists available in-house 24/7; not stationed in ICU
          • Additional Details
          • Training modules are required to be completed before starting; 3-4 hours and time is not billable
          • Travelers will work with a variety of patient conditions
          • Ability to float to CSICU and all 5 Sacramento facilities if needed
          • Navy scrubs required; under shirts must be navy, white, or black
