Responsibilities The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, is a fast, high paced 20-bed Comprehensive Stroke unit. We specialize in the treatment and management of several neurological conditions. Our staff is dedicated to providing superior care to all patients we are fortunate enough to care for. We have a dedicated Neuro Critical Care Nurse 24 hours a day that responds to all stroke alerts and helps to receive outside transfers. Position Summary:The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Qualifications
Minimum:

• 1 year RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
• Current California RN License
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications from American Heart Association
  Preferred:
  • 1 year experience in Neuro and/or Trauma critical care in an acute care setting
