Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Systems Engineering and Architecture Senior Manager to support the Protected Communications Enterprise, with immediate focus on future programs. As the Systems Engineering and Architecture Senior Manager, you will lead the effort to establish the technical solution and overall system design for some of our country's most vital and complex future protected communications efforts. In this role you typically will:
?Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
?Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
?Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
?Lead the Program's Systems Engineering efforts to include technical direction, planning, and staffing
?Manage Systems and Project Engineering resources for the program, and provide programmatic and proposal support
?Provide guidance to a Systems Engineering team to include full Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, from architecture and requirements development through system operations and integration, and their application to the Protected Communications program
?Provide oversight and support to critical program area Engineering skill development
?Use your background and functional leadership experience to help deliver on this critical program
?Interface with multiple contractor and government development, test, acquisition, and operations organizations
?Lead efforts to improve combined segment/system deliveries, ?Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Typically has 20 - 30+ years of professional experience. ?Bachelors degree in an Engineering or closely related field
?Demonstrated RF design/analysis and digital comm architecture skills
?Systems Engineering process knowledge and experience with engineering processes and reviews
?Familiarity with DoD program support
?Demonstrated experience as both a technical leader and individual contributor for Space system development
?Strong team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
?Active DoD SECRET security clearance
Desired Skills:
?Experience with Protected Communications Program and Customer, or another related Program
?Extensive experience designing RF systems and digital communication architecture on a major DoD program. Experience in establishing and reviewing system RF performance budgets based on allocated or predicted performance of RF equipment.
?Experience working through the full lifecycle phases of a Space development program, preferably for the US Government
?Experience applying Lockheed Martin Systems Engineering processes related to this position
?Proficiency in the following engineering tools: [SysML/Cameo Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center]
?Space system design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
?Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of complex problems and train others in their application
?Ability to architect designs and allocate functions across hardware and software to deliver the optimal system solution
?Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
?Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment
?Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
?Top Secret security clearance
