Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Access Rep I. This role involves creating a positive experience for patients during the check-in and registration process, as well as managing a high volume of scheduling queue calls. Responsibilities include gathering necessary information, confirming insurance coverage, collecting payments, and providing exceptional service to our patients. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred - Proficient in computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical record systems - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively - Empathy and compassion when interacting with patients - Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus Responsibilities: - Welcome patients and manage a high volume of scheduling queue calls professionally and courteously during the check-in and registration process - Collect and accurately input patient demographic and insurance information into the system - Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations or referrals, and explain financial policies - Collect patient payments accurately and ensure compliance with procedures - Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating concerns as needed - Schedule patient appointments, coordinate with other departments, and maintain patient information confidentiality - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal experience - Stay updated on insurance regulations to effectively navigate insurance processes - Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills Join our team as a Patient Access Rep I and make a meaningful difference in our patients' lives.
