Responsibilities Records transactions in ledgers, prepares trial balances and simple financial statements using computer software program. Performs schedule computations of accruals, property and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense. Works effectively within given budgetary parameters; assist staff in prioritizing and managing their workload. Prepares income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including federal and state tax returns for multi-state companies and consolidated returns for affiliated groups. Creates financial statements for businesses from analyzing transactions, reconciling bank accounts and making adjustments to journal entries. Conducts tax research to ensure compliance with tax law. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business, Business Management, Economics, Finance or in a closely related field, 2 years of work experience in public accounting or in a closely related occupation. Experience in preparing individual tax returns for clients. Experience filing corporate tax returns for LLC, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, and Non-profits. This is a nonexempt position. Overtime is paid at time and a half of hourly rate.
